St. Rose of Lima Academy, established in 1869, is a fully-accredited, coeducational Catholic school located in Short Hills, New Jersey. The Academy has over 200 students, and offers full-day Kindergarten through grade eight as well as a pre-school program for children ages 3 and 4. St. Rose offers academic excellence, an experienced teaching staff, comprehensive facilities, wide-ranging extracurricular activities and a nurturing environment that seeks to develop the full potential of all its students. The school was granted Academy status by the Archdiocese of Newark in January 2008, at which time it was re-named St. Rose of Lima Academy.

St. Rose maintains high academic standards, as shown by the studentsí results on standardized tests. In 2013, St. Rose students scored above both the diocesan and national averages on the Terra Nova standardized test. Additionally, a number of seventh and eighth graders have qualified to participate in the Johns Hopkins University Talent Search, which recognizes exceptional mathematical and verbal reasoning abilities and gives middle-school students the opportunity to take the SAT. St. Rose students have also received medals for achievement in the National Latin Exam and Mythology Exam.

St. Rose was the recipient of the 2007 & 2010 Catholic Schools of Tomorrow Innovations in Education Award, one of only 12 elementary and high schools in the nation to be so named by Catholic Teacher Magazine.
