World Languages

St. Rose of Lima Academy believes in an early introduction to world languages to take advantage of the young learner’s enthusiasm and curiosity.

Spanish is introduced in the Pre-K four-year-olds program. Spanish instruction is offered twice weekly in grades 1 through 4. Emphasis is on pronunciation, oral communication and vocabulary development through activities, songs and games.

Latin is taught in grades 5 through 8. Ancient Roman daily life is explored. Emphasis is placed on English vocabulary derivation.
