Dear SRLA Families,
Our guiding principle at SRLA is and always has been SAFETY FIRST. All decisions will be made with the health and safety of our staff and students as a first priority.
When one of our eighth graders tested positive for the novel coronavirus, we immediately snapped into action and ran through the scripted protocols clearly outlined in our school’s re-opening plan, which can be found on the SRLA website.
Our public health officials were clearly impressed with not only our protocols but best practices as well. Our parents and students received notification within hours of the positive test results.
We ask you all to please continue to be diligent about your family’s well-being and please notify the school instantly when you receive any type of positive test result, even if it is a Sunday. Your child’s safety is too important to wait.
Every member of the cohort has now completed one week of virtual learning. Every test result I have received has been, I am happy to say, negative for the coronavirus.
Our protocols do work, and for that, we are grateful.
** Stay Focused ** Stay SRLA Strong **
SRLA families, we need you!
At the start of each academic year, we share a list of volunteer roles that parents, guardians, and other family members may sign up for in order to help the School with its mandatory fundraising obligations, goals, and various programming. Organized by the SRLA HSA, or Home School Association, we work together to raise funds for our operating budget, make improvements to our school, and bring in wonderful programs for our children and their continued education.
Please take a moment to read about all the ways in which you can volunteer via this Sign Up Genius, and help us make this school year a big success!
Thank you, and I hope you are all settling in nicely to the new school year!
