Though we have one more week to go until it's officially Spring, this week's weather gave us a nice preview of what's to come. Students got a healthy dose of Vitamin D! Pictured, PreK-4 enjoyed a picnic lunch while taking in a favorite chapter book, Mercy Watson by Kate DiCamillo, and third- and fourth-graders had fun playing four square during outdoor recess, basking in the warm temps.
Also, a reminder that this Sunday, Daylight Savings begins so we'll be moving our clocks ahead one hour and gaining longer, and hopefully, milder weather days.
SRLA Track and Field is a Go
Thank you to all the families who've expressed their interest in the SRLA Track and Field season! We are very excited to share that we have the green light to proceed. We'll be in touch soon with more details regarding volunteer opportunities and specifics about the season.
In the meantime, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Book Fair March 22-26
The 2021 Book Fair at St. Rose of Lima Academy is just around the corner. The Book Fair keeps our children reading and raises funds for our school. We’re very excited to be able to host this event this year! The book fair will be held Monday March 22 to Friday March 26 in the Gym, which is an exciting new announcement. We’re taking extra precautions to host a safe, socially distant, fair at our school.
The children will be visiting the fair and preparing wish lists early in the week. Parents now have an even easier way to pay for books by using Scholastic's eWallet! This is a digital payment account enabling cash-free, contactless shopping. Cash and credit cards will still be accepted.
The book fair will be open during school hours for the kids, and also 3pm-4pm Wednesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 25 for parents and virtual families to shop. We are also hosting a Parents-Only night on Thursday, March 25 6.30-8.30.
The book fair could not operate without the help of our wonderful parents so watch out for a Sign Up Genius next week asking for volunteers to help with the set-up and breaking down of the fair and also helping the children shop and fulfilling orders.
Thank you for your support. We cannot wait to see you at the SRLA book Fair!
