September 1, 2022
Welcome Parents and Students to the 2022-2023 school year!
The St. Rose of Lima Academy faculty and staff are so very excited to welcome our new and returning students on Wednesday, September 7th. The first three days will be 12:10 dismissal for Kindergarten through Eighth grade.
Over the past two years. SRLA students and staff met the unprecedented challenges and requirements associated with the pandemic. It’s now time for us to look forward.
In November, we will be visited by the re-accreditation team for the Middle States Accreditation Team from Sunday, November 13th through Wednesday, November 16th. More information will be provided as we get closer to November.
The new Media Center is coming along swimmingly! The old carpets have been pulled up, the new smart board is installed and ready to go and the beautiful furnishings Mrs. Mansfield selected have been ordered. I for one, cannot wait for the unveiling!
For students in grades K-8 who live in Maplewood and South Orange, no bus tickets will be issued, again this year. The district has decided instead to issue "in lieu of " transportation credit. Once again, we will forward a diagram for our parking lot pick-up process.
In case you have not heard…under the direction of our Athletic Director, Harcourt Lucius, we will now add Volleyball to our Athletic Program Thank you Mr. Lucius!
As we look forward to an outstanding school year, remember to volunteer and get involved at SRLA. Our incredible HSA, under the leadership of Aveen Corr and Jess May will provide you with more information on just how to make that happen.
On September 28, 2022, at 7:00 pm, we welcome parents to our first, in-person Back-To-School night in recent memory. More information will follow on this event as well.
I hope to see everyone on campus and encourage parents to become active members of our school community.
