As a school family, we celebrated with a special homage to the Holy Door during this Jubilee Year. 

Pope Francis reminds us that: "May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth."

Together, as a community of Catholic schools, we continue to share that grace, guiding our students to live out our mission with faith, joy, and love.

This “holy year door” is a dominant image in the Church’s tradition, signaling the celebration of a holy year. The Lord

Jesus is the door of our salvation, a fact which is symbolized through the spiritual practice of passing through designated doors of various churches. This year of Jubilee 2025, Pilgrims of Hope began with the Pope Francis opening of the holy door at St. Peter’s Basilica on December 24th. There are holy doors at all the major basilicas in Rome. Pilgrims will come from all over the world to pass through these doors to receive special grace to walk this journey of life in holiness.

The upper grade students of St. Rose Academy designed a Holy Door for the parish. Each panel of the door is a sketch depicting key feasts of the liturgical year. Since the majority of parishioners will never experience The Holy Door in person, the Academy students created a Holy Door for all to walk through, especially our children and young families. The Holy Door will bring to life a year of liturgical events, beginning with the Nativity of the Lord and moving through the liturgical year.
