8th Grade Fundraiser

Hello SRLA Families!

The 8th grade is kicking off its first fundraiser of the year and we need YOUR help!

As most of you know, the 8th grade raises funds to pay for the wonderful traditions and events held for our 8th graders and their families in their final year at SRLA.

Some of those events include a spiritual retreat, a class excursion to Rocking Horse Ranch, and the graduation dinner dance that takes place on their last day at St. Rose.

We hope that you enjoy all the different fundraisers we have planned this year! From beautiful Holiday papers and home goods, delicious Thanksgiving pies, to dress down days, tasty dining opportunities and more! We hope you find something that makes you happy to support our kiddos!

THANK YOU in advance for your generosity!

Our first fundraiser is COMING SOON! Take a sneak peek at the holiday goodies from Charleston Wrap!

With lots of love,

The 8th graders & their families

2023-2024 SRLA HSA Sign Up

Dearest SRLA Families,

Welcome New Families and Welcome Back to our returning families for SRLA's 2023-2024 school year! We hope your children are all settling into the routines of school and enjoying their first days. We are so excited to have another wonderful year at St. Rose of Lima Academy!

The SRLA HSA, or Home School Association, is our school's liaison between school and home. We are a group of volunteer parents who work together to raise necessary funds for our operating budget, make improvements to our school, and bring in wonderful cultural programs for our children and their continued education.

Below is our "Mandatory HSA Sign Up" that each family agreed to participate in when they registered at SRLA. This signup breaks down the different volunteer opportunities at SRLA so parents can choose where they prefer to participate, or what works best with their schedule.

Please sign up (each parent/guardian) for whichever fundraising or volunteering event you'd like to be involved in for the 2023-2024 school year. It's that simple! And, don't worry, all events are supported by the HSA and Chairs so we will be there every step of the way!

Keep in mind that there will be additional events to support our school that come up throughout the year, such as 8th-grade fundraising, class events, Christmas gift-giving, and Wish Upon a Star, just to name a few. This signup is simply a baseline for volunteering.

Please pick a spot by November 1, 2023. Volunteer hours will be assessed at the end of the year and fees will be charged at that time if you decide not to volunteer. If you would like to opt-out for the year, a $350 fee will be charged to your Blackbaud account.

Please note: If your name is already on the Sign Up Genius, if you are a Class Parent, or if you are on the Advisory Board, you are not required to sign up for anything else (but please do, if you'd like!)

Already volunteering for something you don't see here? Just email Rose and Carla, HSA Presidents at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Thank you so much for your time and commitment to our school!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. As we embark on a new school year at St. Rose of Lima Academy, I wanted to take a moment to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time.

At SRLA, we are committed to providing your children with a nurturing and academically enriching environment rooted in the values of faith, compassion, and excellence. It is our privilege and responsibility to guide your children on their educational journey, fostering their growth not only as scholars but also as individuals of strong character and moral integrity.

As a Catholic grammar school, our mission is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Catholic faith. We strive to instill in our students the values of love, respect, kindness, and service to others. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a holistic education that addresses not only academic needs but also spiritual and emotional well-being.

Throughout the school year, we will continue to integrate faith into our curriculum, daily activities, and extracurricular programs. We will also celebrate various religious holidays and events, fostering a sense of community and spirituality among our students.

I encourage you to become active participants in your child's education by attending school events, parent-teacher conferences, and staying engaged in their academic progress. We believe that strong collaboration between home and school is essential for your child's success.

Please take note of the following important dates and information for the upcoming school year:

As we move forward into this school year, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with your children's education. We are excited about the possibilities and the positive impact we can make together. If you ever have questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us.

Let us embark on this journey together with faith, hope, and a commitment to nurturing the minds and hearts of our students.
