In order to continue providing the safest environment possible for our students, staff and parents, we ask that you fill out the survey below with the information about your child and yourself prior to returning to school on Monday January 3, 2022 from the Christmas Break.
https://forms.gle/FVFMVTENPoJTFPRj6Dear SRLA Families,
Your students were asked to bring home their books because of the large increase in the number of positive cases among the parents of some of our students.
Our community has been just wonderful in their handling of parental positive readings and keeping their children home. That coupled with the highest numbers ever reported in our community.
So in response, I have advised students and staff to bring home their books and anything else they would need in case they have to quarantine due to COVID.
Please know that should I be contacted by The Archdiocese of Newark or the Department of Health, I will contact everyone immediately.
Please understand that teachers, parents, staff and especially students, prefer to be in-seat but that I will always follow the guideline set before me.
But know in my heart that I will always prefer to be here, at St. Rose of Lima Academy.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Principal Underwood

Dear SRLA Families,
It's time to shop the Annual Christmas Boutique! Look for an envelope in your child's backpack tomorrow!
It's a simple process:
About the Christmas Boutique:
This is a fun, festive way for kids to take joy in handpicking presents for the important people in their lives. There are still a few volunteer slots available! Please consider signing up for a shift or two! As this is an in-school event, compliance with Protecting God's Children and COVID vaccination/testing requirements are mandatory.
If you have any questions, please contact us!
Christmas Boutique Co-Chairs,
Jennifer Coleman and Melita Richmond

THE CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE is returning to SRLA this year!
The shop will be open December 8th, 9th and 10th for students to select special gifts and trinkets to give to their loved ones this Christmas. As always we will need volunteer elves to make this event happen. From set up, to shopping and wrapping to break down, there are many volunteer slots to be filled. Please click this link to select a date and time to volunteer and share the joy of giving your time and helping our students during this holiday season.
How it works; each class will visit the shop during a pre-assigned day and time selected by their teacher. Your child’s teacher will share the date and time with their class and remind them to bring in cash for purchases.
Shop hours:
Tuesday — 8:15 am - 2:45pm
Wednesday — 8:15 am - 2:45 pm
Friday — 8:15 am - 10:00 am
Remember, all volunteers must have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” training in order to help out.
