Just a reminder that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week are 12:10 dismissal days.

There will be aftercare only on Wednesday and Thursday but NO AFTERCARE on Friday, December 3rd.

Friday December 3rd is also a Dress Up Day for charity with NO AFTERCARE.

All Preschool programs end at 11:25 on early dismissal/half days. 

Please note anyone staying for aftercare must bring their own lunch and a drink or order from School Eatery.

Thanksgiving Pie Pick Up Tuesday and Wednesday

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

For those families that ordered pies in support of the 8th grade fundraiser, pick up will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 830am-10am and again from 230pm-330pm.

Wednesday, November 24 distribution will be from 8am- 9am and again from 1130am to 1230pm.

All pick up will be at school at the front entrance (by Danny’s desk).

Don’t worry about remembering what you ordered -we have all the details of each order.

The ornaments are designed with a beautiful painting of the school by artist and SRLA grandparent, Joseph Pieroni. The 3" hand blown glass ornaments are clear iridescent and packaged in individual gift boxes, making it also perfect to gift to family and friends! Please place your order via the SMART portal.

Christmas Giving 2021

SRLA Christmas Gift Giving Program

Dear SRLA Families,

What an amazing response we have received in our Christmas Gift Giving Program! We have received 205 pledges for gift donations and cash donations this year! We are so thankful and proud of our school community for their generosity and their giving spirit! This exemplifies the spirit of Saint Rose of Lima Academy!!

 

A FEW REMINDERS:

·    If you still would like to donate to Christmas Giving, it is not too late! Click “ HERE “ to make donations. We have a few more gifts we need funding for, and any additional donations will be used to buy supermarket gift cards for the families in need. 

                  

·    If you signed up to support this project by purchasing a gift(s) for a child or as a Volunteer Shopper, all gift details were sent home yesterday or today. If you have not received them by Wednesday (11/17) please contact Betsy Guarnieri. Please bring the gifts into school between Nov 29th thru Dec 6th. All gifts must be in by Monday, Dec 6th. 

·    Please purchase/order your gifts as soon as possible! Shipping of items are experiencing severe delays. Please do not wait until the last minute if you are relying on shipping for your items!!

This year, many of the children we are donating gifts to are currently living in a shelter. The gifts given by our SRLA families may be the only gift they receive. We sincerely appreciate the support and generosity shown by everyone.

12:10 Dismissal Friday November 5th

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that Friday, November 5th, is a 12:10 dismissal day.

It is also a Dress Up Day for charity.

Eighth graders will come dressed in their gym uniforms tomorrow.

*They will in fact, enjoy a special eighth grade dress up day of their very one, next Friday, November 19th!

On these days the students may come to school out of uniform in regular clothing or Spirit Wear in return for a $1.00 donation.

Thanksgiving Pie Sale

It's that wonderful time of the year! The annual 8th grade St. Rose Pie sale! Place your order early for the freshly baked pies from the famous Alstede Farms in Chester, NJ.

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering these annual favorites: Harvest Apple (10"), Pumpkin Pie (10"), Dutch Apple (Crumb), Apple Crisp (Oat topping), Blueberry, Cherry, Coconut Custard (10"), Pecan & Strawberry Rhubarb. (if not noted, pies are 9").

Not only do these delicious pies make for an incredible Thanksgiving dessert BUT they also freeze really well. So, be sure to get a few pies for your Christmas holiday table too! Deadline to order pies is November 16th, 2021.

6th Annual Trunk or Treat

Trunk set-up:12:00 Noon

Trunk or Treat 1:30PM – 2 :30PM

What is a Trunk-or-Treat? It's when Academy families get together in

the church parking lot, park their cars, open up the trunks of their cars,

and children come around to each car to Trunk-or-Treat!!!

To really get into the spirit~ Academy parents can open their trunks to reveal

Halloween-themed decorations. Children can walk from trunk to trunk

to look at the decorations and receive treats such as Halloween

Stickers, Pencils, Erasers, Bags of Apple Slices, Pre-Wrapped goodies and the like!!! Please see the non-food Halloween treats flyer for suggestions!

Here are some fun Halloween activities you can do for the Trunk-or-Treat:

Trunk Decorating Contest: an optional activity for those who would like to decorate the trunk of their vehicle for the Trunk-or-Treat!

Any parent may participate: just let your class parent know in advance!

Costume Restrictions: The following Costume restrictions apply!!!

No clowns, masks, blood, guts, gore, weapons, or inappropriate dress/costume.

***Remember to wear your school uniform and change after lunch!!**

*Masks are required and all treats will be enjoyed at home.
