Laptops For Students In Grades 5-8

Parents of Students in grades 5-8,

We are continuing our laptop program for students in grades 5-8. Students who wish to participate have the option of bringing in their own laptop or receiving one from the school to use during the year. Attached are two forms. If a student would like the school to provide a laptop, please print the Computer Laptop Agreement form, read it and return the signature page to me. If a student wishes to bring his or her own laptop, please print out the BYOD form, read it and return the signature page to me.

Please note that participation is optional. If you or your child do not wish to participate in the program, you do not need to respond. A student will not be penalized for not participating in the program.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Failure to do so will result in your student not being able to gain entry until we contact you and get a completed form.

Note that the first two weeks of school, (weather permitting) students will line up with their homerooms in the parking lot.

COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire Clarification

Parents,

There have been some questions about the COVID questionnaire that was sent out on Monday 8/30. In an effort to clarify the instructions, please take note:

Questions 6 & 7 must be filled out with your child's name. If you have more than one child attending St. Rose, the oldest child's name & grade should be used here.

Questions 8 & 9 - If you have additional children attending St Rose, please put their name & grade here, one per question. If you do not have an additional child at the school, these may be left blank.

Question 14 - Due to the way the questionnaire was designed this time, question 14 must be completed. If you answered "no" to question 13, just enter the date you are completing the questionnaire.

Please note: if you do not plan to travel this last weekend of summer, the questionnaire may be filled out at any time. However, it must be completed and submitted prior to your child(ren) entering school on Wednesday, September 8.

Thank you for your understanding.

Please see the link below and complete the following COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire either electronically or fill in the form we sent home before the break to gain entry into the school building on Wednesday, September 8th.

Failure to do so will result in your student not being able to gain entry until we contact you and get a completed form.

Hello from your SRLA HSA!

We hope you have been enjoying a wonderful summer vacation! School is right around the corner, and we are so excited to have the school bustling with children and teachers again!

The SRLA HSA, or Home School Association, is our school's liaison between school and home. We work together to raise necessary funds for our operating budget, make improvements to our school, and bring in wonderful programs for our children and their continued education.

Policy Regarding Mandatory Use Of Face Masks

August 11, 2021

Good Morning Parents,

As I am sure everyone is aware, I wanted to share with everyone information about Executive Order 251 which requires masks in schools. As per the Executive Order...

"All public, private, and parochial preschool programs and elementary and secondary schools, including charter and renaissance schools (collectively “school districts”), must maintain a policy regarding mandatory use of face masks by staff, students, and visitors in the indoor portion of the school district premises,"  This is regardless of their vaccination status.

There are some exceptions (circumstances where masks can't be worn, such as those under the age of 2 years old) to the Executive Order which are outlined in more detail at the link below. Please note the Executive Order is effective as of Monday, Aug. 9th, thus this order does apply to ESY and summer school programs. This does not apply to summer camp programs which are governed by other executive orders. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Below is a link containing more information:

As always this information is subject to change.

Best regards,

Tina Underwood
