IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!

The 2026 Annual SRLA Walk-A-Thon is Friday, Nov. 13th

The walk-a-thon is one of our school’s biggest fundraisers! Don’t miss out on an opportunity to support our amazing school! Every gift, of any size, goes directly toward giving our students a better place to learn and grow.

We’re switching some things up this year!

This year we are inviting parents to come to the event a little early and chalk the walk! Start off with some coffee and refreshments before tapping into your inner artist. The black top is your canvas! Write encouraging messages, draw obstacles, the sky is the limit!

Even if you're no picasso, we are strongly encouraging parents to at least hang out and cheer on the kids as they walk. The kids are always so excited to see a crowd! Parents are also allowed to walk WITH their children if they’d like. DJ Pat will be there to get everyone moving & grooving!

This year rather than having the individual classes compete, it will be a “battle of the floors”! The floor that raises the most money will get a pizza & ice cream party!

K - 4th

5th - 8th - CURRENTLY IN THE LEAD

Each student has a fundraising goal of $200.

Celebrating Red Ribbon Week at SRLA!

A big Raven thank you to Officer Dundon for visiting St. Rose of Lima Academy in honor of Red Ribbon Week! We are so grateful for his time and dedication to educating our students about the importance of making healthy choices, staying drug-free, and being positive role models in our community. Thank you, Officer Dundon, for helping our Ravens make smart choices and bright futures! 💙💛

Election fever has taken over SRLA!

The halls of St. Rose are covered in colorful campaign posters for our Student Council Election that was held on Friday!

Our candidates took the spotlight, delivering inspiring speeches filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and some pretty exciting campaign promises! From a new vending machine and a parent vs. student dodgeball tournament to starting a homework club, these future leaders have some BIG ideas!

We are so proud of every student who had the courage to run for office, share their vision, and step up as a leader.

The future is BRIGHT for these amazing Ravens!

This is your friendly reminder to reserve the SRLA spirit rock!

SRLA families are invited to reserve the spirit rock and paint it with a special message of their own. Celebrate a birthday, thank someone special, wish a team or student good luck, show your school spirit, or get creative with a message that's meaningful to you.

It’s a fun and unique way to celebrate the people who make our SRLA community so special.

Pick a date, grab your paint and make the spirit rock your own!

SRLA Christmas Gift Giving Program!

Dear SRLA Families and Faculty,

A wonderful tradition at St. Rose of Lima Academy is our Christmas Gift Giving Program! Through this program we make sure that there is at least one present under the tree for the children of St. Rose of Lima Church in Newark and the seniors and families of St. Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth. Please consider helping these children, families, and seniors during the Christmas holidays. There are three ways to participate in the program:

(1) Buy gifts for children.

~ If you would like to buy a gift, check off the appropriate box on the signup genius and indicate how many gifts you would like to buy. You will be provided with the name, age, and gender of a recipient in mid-November. Please bring the unwrapped gifts to school by Monday, December 7th. Gifts can be dropped off between Nov 30th through December 7th (Please budget $35-50 per gift). Drop off details will be provided.

(2) Send in a monetary donation.

~ If you are unable to shop this year, our "Holiday Shopper Committee" can shop for you. Your donations will be used to buy toys, coats, scarves, and mittens to name a few of the requests we often receive from the children! Click “HERE“ to make donations as soon as possible. (3) Volunteer to be a "shopper."

~ If you would like to be a "volunteer shopper," please check off the appropriate box. This job entails shopping for 3-5 gifts with the donated money. You will be provided with a very specific wish list and you will be reimbursed. Last year we did not need shoppers, but we may this year!

Thank you in advance for your support for this worthy project! We encourage all families to involve their children shopping for these gifts. This program is a wonderful way to teach children the importance of helping others!
