New Date for Winter Uniforms
Due to nationwide supply issues, FlynnO'Hara is out of stock of many uniform items, and is reporting significant delays in order processing times.
 
SRLA students may continue to wear their fall uniforms until Thanksgiving break, with winter uniforms starting on Monday, November 29.
 
Food Truck Festival Is One Week Away!
 
Book your sitters and get ready to eat! Join us for the SRLA Annual Fall Food Truck Festival on Friday, October 15th from 7–10 pm!
 
Purchase your tickets online now! The ticket price of $60/per person includes a souvenir cup, and pre-order an SRLA pint glass and/or wine glass, while supplies last!
 
Beer and wine available, but feel free to bring your beverage of choice. And we will feature LIVE MUSIC again this year! And don’t forget to enter the annual cornhole tournament—bring cash to play cornhole and 50/50!

We are very excited to announce that the registration is open for the St. Rose 2021-2022 Basketball season!
St. Rose will be offering six divisions from Grades 3-8 for both Boys & Girls:

Team Uniforms
The team uniform includes jersey, shorts, and shooting shirt.
 
We will send a uniform order form email out to everyone once registrations have been submitted. If your child has played and still has their uniform, please check to see if their uniform still fits.

Coaches & Volunteers
If you are interested in Coaching or volunteering during the season, please complete the Coaching-Volunteer Survey by Tuesday, October 12.
 
All coaches and volunteers are required to:
  • complete Protecting God’s Children training, which is good for 5 years. A class will be held at St. Rose on Thursday, November 11. Register on the RCAN website.
  • complete the Archdiocese of Newark volunteer application

Science Lab Fun!
 
SRLA middle school students had a chance to do experiments with Ms. Hilliard in the science lab! After a year of not being able to do so, they were extremely excited. Students and teacher alike can't wait to do it again!
 
5th grade made gas to inflate their balloon people.
 
6th grade filled their balloons using yeast.
 
7th grade worked with ice to figure out the quickest way to melt it.
 
8th grade made fossils.

Attention, parents with students in Grades 1-8:
 
We are pleased to announce that you will now have access to PowerSchool to see your child’s grades. A letter is being sent home today which details the steps to create an account. Please note that for Grades 1-4, only attendance will be available at this time. Grades 5-8 will show students' grades for each of the major subjects.
 
Also, if you have more than one child in these grades, when you create your sign-in credentials, you will have the option to add more than one child to your access list. This will allow you to view information for each child with one sign-in.

Helping Our Neighbors
Thanks to contributions from our families in September, SRLA donated over 100 cinch hospitality bags with necessary toiletries to Catholic Charities. Those donations went directly to help some of the more than 9,000 Afghan refugees staying at Fort Dix in South Jersey, where they were immediately distributed. We are grateful for your generosity!

SRLA Farmers Market Is Friday!
 
The HSA is excited to announce that the school-favorite SRLA Farmers Market will be held on Friday, October 15th. Students will receive a reusable shopping bag to select from seasonal produce, and have a taste of delicious apple cider from Alstede Farms.
 
Last Call for Spirit Wear!
The Spirit Wear shop closes at midnight tonight, so shop now!
 
Youth and adult sizes are available. As always, a portion of the proceeds benefit the school.
Spirit wear may not be worn in place of the regular or gym uniform, but students may sport their spirit wear:
  • on dress down days
  • on special spirit wear days
  • on student birthdays
  • as outerwear, then removed once in school
  • all over town to show your school spirit!
 
Reminders for Parent Volunteers
 
All parents who plan to volunteer, please complete the volunteer application and return it to school.
 
Beginning October 18, 2021, all parent volunteers will be required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the preceding week. Find out more about the requirements.
