Middle School Math Gets Creative

This week during math, Grades 5 through 8 had a chance to show their creative side by designing shirts for Albert Einstein’s birthday, also known as Pi Day.
Since the most common value used for Pi (π) is 3.14, March 14 has been celebrated as Pi Day since 1988. The students will be wearing their shirts this coming Monday to display their appreciation for Pi.
In addition, Mrs. Underwood will have pie available for all middle school students!

It's been a great season for the Ravens, with four of SRLA's teams heading to the CYO Championships this weekend at Union Catholic!
Family and friends are invited to attend the championships in the Union Catholic Gym to show your support, or stream the games live to cheer on SRLA!
- 3/4 Grade Boys: Saturday, March 12, 11:30 am
- 5/6 Grade Girls (Blue): Saturday, March 12, 2 pm
- 7/8 Grade Girls: Saturday, March 12, 4:30 pm
- 8 Grade Boys: Sunday, March 13, 5 pm
Admission to games at Union Catholic is $2 for seniors and students, $3 for adults, and $5 maximum per family.

The Student Council will be selling chances to guess how many chocolates this handsome fellow is hiding!
Guesses are 25¢ a piece, and the winner gets the chocolate and the jar!
Guessing will be located outside the gym in the morning from Monday, March 14 through Thursday, March 17.
The winner will be announced Thursday afternoon!

We Can't Wait for Summer Camp!
|
|
|
We have been planning many new and exciting activities, and we cannot wait to begin! Each week our maximum number of campers is 21, and camp is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register and pay for the first full week of camp in order to secure your spot!
Campers must be entering Pre-K3 (and be potty-trained) through 3rd grade. Camp is held Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-1:30 pm.
- Week 1, June 20 –June 24: Animal Planet
- Week 2, June 27 – July 1: Under the Stars
- Week 3, July 5 – July 8: Party in the U.S.A.
- Week 4, July 11 – July 15: Super Hero Magic
- Week 5, July 18 – July 22: Christmas in July
- Week 6, July 24 – July 30: Hawaii

Campers should come each day ready for sprinkler fun:
- dressed in their bathing suits (underneath clothing)
- wearing water shoes or flip flops
- sunscreen already applied
What else to bring each day:
- additional sunscreen
- change of clothes
- a nut-free snack and lunch
- reusable water bottle
- and please note that masks are optional, but still suggested for pre-school aged children.
Price
$200 per week for the first child
$175 per week for the second child
$95 per week for a Counselor in Training (1 week per CiT)
Camp fees will be paid via check. To register, send in the completed registration form and check for payment for the first week of camp.
