I am excited to welcome students and families to the 2022-23 school year. I am delighted that you will be a part of our amazing learning community this year.
As we embark on this learning adventure, we pledge to students and parents that this will be a year of rigorous, relevant and engaging work in our classrooms, along with special events and activities
We invite and encourage families to work in partnership with us and to join us for school activities and events whenever possible. We value your involvement and support in your child's education.
We also value the communication connection between home and school and encourage you to contact us when the need arises and to stay in the know about your child's studies, assignments, assessments and school activities.
For families that are new to SRLA, we want you to know that you are coming to a wonderful place to learn and grow! SRLA has an incredible and caring staff and is the perfect place to do the most important work in the world!
Remember to reach out to your child’s teacher for classroom related issues, Danny for attendance, pick-up and drop-off items and the like, and myself for anything you wish. I promise to help you in every way possible.
Remember to support our incredible HSA Team, led by Jess May and Aveen Corr. Their team does incredible work both behind the scenes, and front and center throughout the year!
Thank you to everyone that made this week so special.
Again, welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
Tina Underwood, Ed. S.
"Shop" the SRLA Uniform Closet
The SRLA Uniform Closet is open! If you missed your chance to shop at our Uniform Shop & Drop this summer, there's still plenty of great apparel for the taking, for free! Simply stop by the uniform closet located in the front room of the teachers lounge on the first floor. Drop off your gently used uniforms while you're at it!
Parents, please note that the car line at dismissal will operate with two lanesthis year given the new permit parking spaces at the back of the parking lot. Please help us ensure smooth dismissal to keep our students safe!
It's Cross Country Season!
The XC season runs from September until early November. Workouts consist of stretching, strength exercises, wind sprints, and kids running their meet distance twice to build stamina.
XC is open to grades K through 8. Practices will begin Tuesday, September 13.
